Applications

The technology platform can be used in various cardiac applications. The data can be captured from e.g. pacemakers, image devices and pressure devices .

Pacemaker settings

Cardiac time intervals have been described as a measure of cardiac performance, where prolongation, shortening and delay of the different time intervals have been evaluated as markers of cardiac dysfunction. A relatively recently developed method with improved ability to measure cardiac events is Tissue Doppler Imaging (TDI), allowing accurate measurement of myocardial functions. These measurement can together with the state diagram optimize programming the pacemaker settings.

Ultrasound diagnostics

The GrippingHeart Lab can capture data from Tissue Doppler Imaging (TDI), allowing accurate measurement of myocardial movements. As a new visualization tool for cardiac time intervals the state diagram presents data of systolic and diastolic performance, providing a more complete overview of cardiac functions. The heart is clearly visualized by the state diagram during one heart cycle.

Mobile monitoring

With a simple state diagram it is easy to visualize the heart performance of the patient. The information can be received from e.g. a blood pressure device. The information can be transmitted over the mobile network enabling doctors and other personal for further investigation or control.
